Mission, Vision, Values

Vision Statement

To be a transformative educational center that empowers individuals to bridge differences through dialogue, fostering a world grounded in love, justice, and collective well-being and toward meaningful action that nurtures justice, empathy, and shared humanity.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to inspire campus community members to engage with self and others authentically, by cultivating skills in critical self-reflection, cultural storytelling, generous listening, and loving accountability to foster bridges across difference.

We do this through:

  • Student curricular and co-curricular engagement
  • Faculty and staff engagement and development
  • Community Outreach and Campus-Wide Dialogues

Values

  • We value shared humanity and dignity. Healing and change happens in community.
  • We value a diversity of perspectives, lived experiences and ways of being/knowing; dialogue invites participation that meets people where they are.
  • We value the power of stories. Stories empower people to share their voices, have the capacity to change hearts, and can lead to material social changes in our society.
  • We value a growth mindset. Everyone has the capacity to contribute to a more loving and just world.
  • We value rest, imagining, and action. Dialogue and radical imagination inspire actions that disrupt oppressive systems and build bridges across communities.
